Feeling overwhelmed, mentally overloaded, or constantly “on”? This practical and evidence informed masterclass explores how sleep, stress, attention, and recovery directly impact leadership, communication, decision making, and everyday performance.
Available exclusively to conference attendees; an additional registration fee of $150 applies.
This immersive masterclass provides a deep exploration into the neuroscience of sleep, stress, overwhelm, attention, and sustainable high performance. Designed specifically for medical practice managers and healthcare professionals operating in cognitively demanding environments, the session combines evidence-based sleep science with highly practical application.
Participants will explore the architecture of sleep and the distinct role of each sleep phase in emotional regulation, learning, memory consolidation, creativity, executive function, and physical recovery. Sally examines the neurobiology of dopamine and nor-epinephrine, explaining how modern environments, digital distraction, chronic stimulation, and ongoing stress exposure contribute to fragmented attention, anxiety patterns, emotional fatigue, and impaired decision-making.
The workshop also explores circadian rhythms, ultradian performance cycles, stress physiology, sleep-disrupting behaviours, and the hidden impact of alcohol, cannabis, and common sleep medications on sleep architecture and cognitive restoration.
A central component of the masterclass is Sally’s IMPACT4Q Model — a neuroscience-informed framework designed to help individuals regain control of time, attention, energy, and cognitive load. Delegates will learn how to structure their days and weeks around biological performance rhythms rather than constant reactivity and interruption. The model helps participants identify where overwhelm is being created, how attention fragmentation affects performance and recovery, and how to create more sustainable patterns of focus, planning, delegation, reflection, and restoration.
Participants will work through their own personalised sleep and recovery framework alongside their individual IMPACT4Q performance plan, identifying practical behavioural, environmental, sensory, and rhythm-based strategies to improve sleep quality, cognitive clarity, emotional regulation, and sustainable performance both professionally and personally.
This is not simply a session about “getting more sleep.” It is a practical and evidence-informed exploration of how sleep, attention, recovery, and nervous system regulation directly shape leadership capacity, communication, learning, emotional resilience, decision-making, and performance under pressure.
Each participant will receive their own copy of the IMPACT4Q book.
